What Happens During a Deliverance Session?
Although approaches vary, biblical deliverance is simple: stand in Christ’s authority, close doors to the enemy, and command oppression to leave. The tone should be calm, prayerful, and pastoral—not theatrical.
Typical Flow
- Interview & Consent: Gather history, clarify expectations, and pray for protection.
- Teaching: Identity in Christ, authority of Jesus, and the role of repentance and faith.
- Repentance & Renunciation: Confess sin, forgive others, break agreement with lies and occult practices.
- Command: In Jesus’ name, ministers command unclean spirits to leave (Mark 16:17).
- Infilling & Blessing: Ask the Holy Spirit to fill areas vacated; speak Scripture and blessing.
- Aftercare: Provide Scripture reading plans, community support, and practical steps.
What You Might Experience
