In deliverance teachings, incubus and succubus spirits are described as demonic entities that seek to sexually violate and spiritually defile human beings. They are referred by other names such as marine spirits, spirit husbands, spirit spouse, sexual spirit, demon lover, Nephilim (sometimes they manifest with both female and male genitals), or Lilith written about in Isaiah 34:14: "Among the howling and hissing wild creatures and demons, Lilith herself, demoness of the night, will call Edom her haunt, A place to recoup and rest between her devastating forays."

The Bible gives us a clue as to the first in Genesis 6:

"When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose."

These spirits operate primarily during sleep, attacking individuals at night or even during daytime naps. At times, their presence can be physical, where the victim is interacting physically with the demon. At that point deliverance sessions may be the only solution of getting rid of these entities.

It starts with a dream (dream of having sex), then escalates into something real, and tangible - where you are molested, raped and sexually tortured. The Bible clearly affirms that dreams are real and can serve as channels of communication and revelation. In Genesis 37:5–11, Joseph received prophetic dreams about his future. Similarly, Daniel chapter 2 reveals how God communicated through dreams and visions. In the New Testament, an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying: "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife." — Matthew 1:20

An incubus is said to target women, while a succubus targets men. Their goal is not just physical violation but spiritual corruption, bondage, fear, despondency, and destruction of a person’s relationship with God, their family, and their spouse.

What Do These Spirits Seek to Do?

According to this teaching, these spirits attempt to:

• Become a “spiritual spouse” or sexual partner
• Defile the body through sexual encounters in dreams
• Destroy intimacy in marriage
• Create emotional and spiritual bondage
• Become an idol, replacing one’s devotion to God

How to Close the Door and Remove Legal Rights

Biblical Foundation for Living in Freedom

Galatians 5:16–26 teaches that walking in the Spirit prevents fulfilling the desires of the flesh. A lifestyle of purity, self-control, and righteousness strengthens spiritual protection.

Believers are encouraged to live according to the fruit of the Spirit rather than the desires of the flesh, maintaining a life of holiness and discipline.

Wash me thoroughly and make me whole again.

Your Word says that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, I declare that my body does not belong to any evil spirit. My body belongs to God alone.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I renounce every incubus spirit, every succubus spirit, every spirit spouse, every spirit of lust, seduction, perversion, manipulation, and defilement. I renounce every connection to them, whether it came through my own actions, my past, my environment, my relationships, or my family line.

Right now, in the name of Jesus, I break every covenant, every agreement, every spiritual marriage, and every contract between me and any incubus, succubus, or spirit spouse. I cancel every demonic claim over my life.

I declare a divine divorce now. I tear up every spiritual marriage certificate. I return every evil ring. I destroy every demonic covenant in the name of Jesus Christ.

I take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and I sever every ungodly soul tie between me and every incubus spirit, succubus spirit, spirit spouse, and spirit of lust.

Every tie, be broken now. Every connection, be destroyed now. Every chain, be shattered now. Every yoke, be broken now by the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Father, I declare that Satan has no authority over me. Jesus Christ has given me power over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me.

Therefore, in the name of Jesus Christ, I command every incubus spirit and every succubus spirit: come out of my life now. Leave my body now. Leave my mind now. Leave my emotions now. Leave my dreams now. Leave my sleep now. Go to the place Jesus Christ sends you, and do not return.

I bind every spirit that has been visiting me in my sleep. I bind every spirit that has been defiling me in dreams. I bind every spirit that has been polluting my body and tormenting my mind. I cast you out by the authority of Jesus Christ.

“Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven...” — Matthew 18:18

I declare that no spirit will visit me in the night again. I shall not fear the terror by night. My sleep shall be peaceful, holy, and protected by the Lord.

Every evil deposit placed in my body, in my mind, in my womb, in my seed, or in my spirit through demonic encounters, come out now by the fire of the Holy Spirit. Every trace of darkness, be purged by the blood of Jesus.

Father, refine me, cleanse me, and purify me now.

I close every open door in my life:

• I close every door opened through sexual sin in the Name of Jesus
• I close every door opened through lust in the Name of Jesus
• I close every door opened through pornography in the Name of Jesus
• I close every door opened through past ungodly relationships in the Name of Jesus
• I close every door opened through unholy covenants in the Name of Jesus
• I close every door opened through my home, environment, or bloodline in the Name of Jesus

I seal every one of these doors shut with the blood of Jesus Christ. I give no place to the devil. I revoke every ground previously given to darkness.

“Neither give place to the devil.” — Ephesians 4:27

Father, send Your Holy Fire now to every evil altar speaking against my life. Consume every demonic altar, every evil record, every accusation, and every hidden work of darkness assigned against me and my family.

“For our God is a consuming fire.” — Hebrews 12:29

Destroy every spiritual document. Destroy every evil covenant. Destroy every demonic claim. Let every curse be broken, every spell be destroyed, every enchantment be canceled, and every evil word spoken over me fall to the ground powerless in Jesus’ name.

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper...” — Isaiah 54:17

Father, I take back everything that was stolen from me. Restore my peace. Restore my purity. Restore my sleep. Restore my joy. Restore my relationships. Restore my destiny. Restore my spiritual strength.

“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten...” — Joel 2:25

Fill me now with Your Holy Spirit. Teach me to walk in purity, righteousness, and self-control. Help me to walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.

I put on the full armor of God in the Mighty Name of Jesus:

• The helmet of salvation to guard my mind
• The breastplate of righteousness to keep me holy and guard my heart
• The belt of truth around my waist - the Holy Spirit will lead me into all truths
• The shield of faith to quench every fiery darts of the enemy
• The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. With it, I cut every silver cord connecting a witch to the demon operating in my life

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” — Ephesians 6:11

I declare that I am covered. I am protected. I am sealed by the Holy Spirit. My mind is covered. My body is covered. My sleep is covered. My dreams are covered. My future is covered. My relationships are covered. My home is covered.

I apply and sprinkle the blood of Jesus over my foundation, my pedigree, my life, my future, and my destiny, for “the blood speaks better things” (Hebrews 12:24) I walk in the newness of life clothed in righteousness and authority. I walk in Your plan, Your purpose, and Your divine direction. I are fortified by Your Word, fortified by Your power, fortified by the blood - I are blood-washed, blood-covenanted, blood-directed, blood-empowered, blood-protected child of the Most High God.

From this day forward, my dreams are sanctified, my body is sanctified, my mind is sanctified, and my life is sanctified. No more defilement. No more spiritual attacks. No more bondage. I belong to Jesus Christ—body, soul, and spirit.

Thank You, Father, for my deliverance. Thank You for my freedom. Thank You for my healing. Thank You for my restoration. Thank You for my victory through the blood of Jesus Christ.

I declare that whom the Son sets free is free indeed. I receive that freedom now. I walk in that freedom now. I will remain in that freedom now.
